Post-renovation cleaning in Montreal

Renovation dust travels everywhere and settles for weeks. This is the clean that ends it, rather than moving it around.

Consistent standard

Written checklist followed on every visit

Construction dust behaves differently from household dirt. It is fine enough to pass through closed doors, it settles on every horizontal surface for weeks after the work stops, and ordinary cleaning re-suspends it rather than removing it. Wiped with the wrong cloth it smears; vacuumed with the wrong filter it goes straight back into the air.

Newly finished hardwood flooring, clean and free of construction dust

We work top-down with proper filtration so dust comes out of the space instead of moving around it — ceilings and light fixtures first, then walls, vents, frames and sills, then surfaces, then floors last. Paint flecks, adhesive residue and sticker gum come off fixtures and glass. Usually a two-pass job, because dust disturbed in the first pass needs time to settle before the second.

Frequently asked questions

When should we book it?

After the trades are finished and materials have been removed, but before furniture comes in. Cleaning around stored materials means cleaning twice.

Why does it cost more than a deep clean?

Construction dust needs filtration, a top-down sequence and usually two passes. Treating it as a deep clean leaves a film that reappears within days.

Do you remove renovation debris?

We remove fine dust and small debris. Bulk material — offcuts, packaging, fixtures — needs a waste removal service, and it should be gone before we arrive.
